Mitio Dimitrov was born on the 13th November 1974 in the town of Kazanlak. He finished his secondary school at the factory of Arsenal in Kazanlak. He studied at the "Kremona" - instrument factory. Afterwards he worked in this sphere and improved his skills working with masters of the handicraft.
He has been producing musical instruments on his own since 1998, laying his focus mainly on violins and violas. He works with wood materials of excellent sound qualities that can be found in the Balkan region. Above all, he prefers to work with naturally dried sycamore and spruce of high-quality. Furthermore, the luthier uses for the production of his instruments self-made alcoholic lack, mixed from an own recipe. For the models for his instruments he takes ideas from the works of great Italian masters like Stradivari, Guarneri, Ornate and others.
Mitio Dimitrov is a member of the regional association of the master-luthier and a member of the chamber of the handicraftsmen in Bulgaria. He took part in exhibitions and competitions in Bulgaria and abroad.

At the Eufonia 2009 A Competition for Stringed Instroments, Sofia-Brussel, November 2009. His violin ranked the 8th place.
Musicians from Bulgaria, Italia, Belgium, the United States and Japan play on his self-made instruments.
